Loneliness
My experiment:
The question was, how good is Loneliness?
Off course, it is not good to be lonely, when a person is having extreme feelings, like happiness or distress.Even when we are in the neutral state it is good to have a companion.
So that took me back to the question.

I realised that for some time, say an hour in a week I need to be lonely. It generates ideas and helps to introspect.But I found it tough to be lonely for long, with my lifestyle. Students
and staff in the office, family at home and if no one, then the
mobile,TV, laptop and newspaper were not allowing me to be lonely for
long. 10 to 15mins Loneliness was not enough.
My personal problem is that I am not always happy with non
routine works, which is bad quality to have. To eradicate this problem,
the best option I realised was planning and maintaining a check list. I
did this but not consistently.
Getting up early to spend time with myself was always an option, but laptop, mobile news were again always a distraction.So the problem was reduced to seeking consistency in non routine works in this prototype lifestyle of mine.

I started walking to Bulls Eye Nasik-Road centre, that is 4.5km from my house.
I have stopped using car / Activa to reach Bulls Eye. Whenever i am late I take Autorickshaw mid-way.Every Friday I walk the entire 4.5 km one side and the other days I walk at least 3km, to and fro. I started this practice in the 1st week of Dec.16

So, while walking I get good 50mins on Fridays where there
is complete Loneliness to not just have the leisurely walk but also to
think about myself and my non-routine works.
For eg. One Friday, I managed to think a glass film d/s for my office.
The other Friday, I realized that I am not spending enough time with my parents.
Let's see how much this experiment of mine helps me. Nevertheless I am quite pumped up for continuing it.For eg. One Friday, I managed to think a glass film d/s for my office.

I really liked this way. For me I would say that it's "journey to find your self".
ReplyDeleteEven I do the same i.e I prefer to walk rather than taking some vehicle along, this helps in two ways one I get time for myself and other I get to see those small beautiful thing around us which we often miss in this busy speedy life.
